About the Book

Awakening was the beginning. This is what comes next.

“The sacred was not distant. It was waiting for us to cease looking elsewhere.” Chapter One

“A spiritual revolution does not always announce itself with noise. Sometimes it arrives quietly, almost gently, in the form of a single idea that rearranges everything it touches… That idea changed the spiritual imagination of everyone who genuinely encountered it, and it is easy, more than a century later, to underestimate how radical it was.”

From Chapter One

Across twenty-two chapters, The Next Evolution of New Thought addresses the interior work of leaders, the culture of our communities, and the architecture of our institutions. Inside you will find:

  • Why theological truth doesn't automatically produce embodied maturity
  • The nervous system as the place where theology takes root, or stays aspirational
  • What power does to leaders, and why that awareness isn't optional
  • Accountability structures that function as care, not punishment
  • Financial transparency as a theological practice, not an administrative one
  • A clear-eyed look at what the coming decades will demand of the tradition

Foreword

With a foreword by Dennis Merritt Jones, D.D., author of Your Redefining Moments and an ordained Religious Science minister.

Who This Book Is For

Written for Those Who Lead and Love This Tradition

Ministers & Practitioners

A direct, honest companion for the interior work of ministry: the gap between what we teach and what we've embodied under pressure.

Board Members & Institutional Leaders

A framework for accountability, financial transparency, and governance that takes the tradition's own theology seriously at the institutional level.

Readers Beyond New Thought

Written from inside one tradition, but extended as a genuine invitation to any faith community wrestling with the gap between awakening and maturity.

This book is important—for New Thought and all organized spiritual groups that have grown into the tension between spiritual leadership and group leadership.

About the Author

Rev. Robert Brzezinski, D.Div.

Founder, New Thought Media Network

A New Thought minister based in Arvada, Colorado, with roots in Centers for Spiritual Living. He works across the Affiliated New Thought Network, the International New Thought Alliance, and Emerson Theological Institute, and came to ministry after earlier careers gave him a grounded, practical view of leadership under pressure.

The Next Evolution of New Thought is written from inside the tradition he loves, by someone who has lived the gap between theological conviction and embodied capacity, and who believes the tradition is strong enough to be met with the truth about where it stands.
